- The original protagonist of Doom is implied in Wolfenstein RPG to be a descendant of BJ Blazkowicz, giving him the title "Sargeant Blazkowicz".
- The Cyberdemon was remodeled to be the Harbinger of Doom, the final boss of Wolfenstein RPG.
- E1M4 originally contained a room shaped like a swastika. John Romero stated that this was intended as a homage to Wolfenstein 3D,[1] however subsequent releases of the game removed the potentially offensive symbol.

- Two secret levels, titled "Wolfenstein" and "Grosse", recreate Wolfenstein 3D levels Episode 1, Floor 1 and Episode 1, Floor 9.
- The enemies that appear in the above levels are mostly replaced with standard Doom enemies, however the SS is preserved as Wolfenstein SS.

Allusions to Wolfenstein in Doom Eternal[]
- Part of the collectibles spread across levels are albums, that when found and pressed in the Fortress of Doom plays a track from a previous id or Doom game. Two of the albums have songs from the Wolfenstein 3D soundtrack: the menu song "Wondering About My Loved Ones" (with a cover featuring Daisy, the Doomguy's rabbit) and level 1's track "Get Them Before They Get You" (with a Lost Soul in the cover).
