"Blazkowicz. Übercommander Eberhardt is somewhere at your location. They gonna flip you into the bad guy in their bullshit propaganda film. Do your thing. Grace out."
―Grace to B.J. on Eberhardt.[src]

Brigadeführer Erich Eberhardt was an Überkommandant in the Nazi Party and an assassination target in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

Biography[]

Before 1961[]

During the Second World War, Eberhardt was noted for leading the Black Wolf Squad during the siege of Moscow in 1945. He was decorated for his actions during riots in Santa Monica in 1951, which led to seventeen rioters being killed, and fifty two others being captured. He also reformed the Dry Ridge labor camp, increasing the camp's productivity by 215%.

Assassination[]

"You never cease to impress, Blazkowicz. Pack it up and come on home. Grace out."
―Grace to B.J. upon Eberhardt's death.[src]

He was in charge of security and production at B.J.'s childhood home in Mesquite, turned into a film set by Lady Helene for the making of Adolf Hitler's propaganda movie. The scene which he was to make was 'about the capture and defeat' of B.J. Blazkowicz. However, Eberhardt saw the operation as a chance to understand how his enemy's mind worked.

His orders were also to study what he could find of Blazkowicz's childhood which could be used to depict him as degenerate. After arriving in the area, he secured the area and rebuilt the house, which had been damaged during the actual capture of Blazkowicz. The "Fragment of a movie script page" readable shows that Eberhardt is amused by by some parts of American culture which he wants to try out, such as a milkshake (strawberry, as recommended by Gruber.) He also intends to go to a labor camp at Odessa in the future to increase the efficiency there.

Ultimately, he is killed by B.J. as part of the effort to undermine the Nazi military leadership and pave the way for revolution in the United States.
