Kriegsmarine (English: War Marine) is the naval part of the Wehrmacht. They have both naval fleets and marine troops at their disposal. They appear in Wolfenstein 2009, Wolfenstein: The New Order, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
Appearance[]
Wolfenstein (2009)[]
In Wolfenstein 2009, they only appear in cutscene. Their battleship, Tirpitz, is infiltrated by B.J. Blazkowicz. They were transporting a Thule Medallion and were on mission to launch missiles at London. The operation fails after BJ’s sabotage causes the ship to sink before launch. During this time, BJ also happens to steal the medallion.
Wolfenstein: The New Order[]
In Wolfenstein: The New Order, they have a more pronounced role. The Kriegsmarine now runs operations on Eva's Hammer, the colossal U-Boat. They now have soldiers in blue uniforms and Fire Troopers armed with shrapnel shells. Eva's hammer has a nuclear stockpile and a cannon to launch it, so it was vital to capture. BJ sneaked through the submarine and was able to take control of it by killing most of the crew and the captain, Anton Krieger.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus[]
Some of the aforementioned crew was found to be alive in Wolfenstein 2. They were sending transmissions to the Ausmerzer in hopes they could find and rescue them in a hidden area of the submarine called "Section F". Eventually they were all eliminated by Blazkowicz.
