Wolfenstein Wiki

Poland is a country located in Central Europe. It is referenced in the Wolfenstein series. Nazi Germany invaded Poland on September 1st 1939, triggering the beginning of the Second World War, leading to its occupation.

Zakład Psychiatryczny Maławieś, a psychiatric hospital, opened in the town of Maławieś in the year of 1824 on the coast of the Baltic Sea, [1]with the Oliwa family running it for three generations up until 1960.

Rip and Zofia Blazkowicz, who were B.J's parents, were originally Polish immigrants who immigrated to the United States to live in Mesquite.

Wolfenstein: The New Order[]

After Poland was invaded and subsequently occupied by the Germans in 1939, it is unknown and up to speculation what occurred in occupied Poland throughout the Second World War, although it is presumed that it followed the actual events which occurred in occupied Poland up until 1943 or 1944. However, by then, most people began to support the German occupation, as they celebrate the peace after Germany's victory was secured in the Second Great War on July 10th 1948. By 1956, the population had virtually supported them. It is presumed that after the end of the Second World War, and the decade-long occupation of the country, that most of Poland had been rebuilt under the Germans during the post-war period. Most of its cities, like many others in Europe, were presumably transformed with Überconcrete, which was the essential building block for most of Nazi Germany and its cities all across Europe. Polish citizens in the occupied territory presumably have an equal, but subpar quality of life compared to the rest of Europe, as seen with appliances in the psychiatric hospital and the residence of Anya's grandparents. As seen in the initial chapters of the New Order, Polish remains the most dominant language in most of these occupied regions, however it is unknown whether or not that remains after the program initiated by the Germans which was known as "Changeover Day", which was not just introduced to the occupied United States, but presumably extended to the rest of the German territories outside of America virtually.

After Blazkowicz was wounded after the failed attack on Deathshead's Compound, Blazkowicz was found by Polish fishermen off the coast of the Baltic Sea. He was taken to a hospital for treatment where he was declared to be in a vegetative state and sent to a psychiatric hospital in Maławieś, which, coincidentally, was the same psychiatric hospital where Deathshead would order Friedrich Keller to take patients from the wards and bring them for human experimentation. 14 years later, the hospital was ordered to shutdown, which became disastrous as most of its staff was massacred including Anya Oliwa's parents. Blazkowicz escaped with Anya Oliwa on a vehicle while on the run. The two of them went to the house of Anya's grandparents, where Blazkowicz finds out from Anya and her grandparents that 14 years had passed and the war had ended. Blazkowicz, Anya, and her grandparents eventually took off to send the two of them on a night-train to Berlin, but stopped by a checkpoint in which Blazkowicz has to kill all of the soldiers in the checkpoints and confront two robots, before they continued their journey on. It is unknown what happens to Anya's grandparents after the events of the game.

Poland first appears as a location visited in the games in The New Order.
