Obsoletion[]
Sprites are used for explosions in RTCW.
I realize that sprites are less important in later games, but they are still used. There is an entire "sprites" folder in the RtCW game files (Main/pak0.pk3/sprites) that holds all the sprites used in the game. So perhaps the term "obsolete" is not appropriate? Maybe even a section on later games would be appropriate.
