Oberführer Thomas Wechsler was a Überkommandant in the Nazi Party and target in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

Biogaphy

Before 1961

Wechsler, during the Second World War, was most noticeable of his role during the 'bloody' Normandy landings in 1944, the siege of Moscow in 1945. He also was responsible for the 'cleanup' of Hollywood Hills in 1955. And was also the lead for the protocol reforms at Camp Spokane, in 1958, due to security leaks.

Assassination

He is assassinated by B.J. during his third infiltration of the Oberkommando on Venus in order to kill him and rescue Kreisau Circle undercover agent Cousin Dimitri, whom Wechsler had discovered of being a spy, as well as overseeing his interrogation. Weschler was killed near Dimitri's cell observing the reports made on the interrogation. Despite the best efforts of his bodyguards, B.J. mercilessly killed him.

Personality and Relationships

Wechsler seems to be a by the book officer, as his soldiers are well aware that if a soldier abuses his position it would be the end of him, even for a commander, and is even harsh on the person who does not report it.

His relationship with his troops is a mixture of fear, and respect. Due to his war record, and secure safety, yet matched with his brutality.
